Our Materials

At WOOLA, materials are chosen with everyday wear in mind.

We look for fabrics that feel comfortable on the body, move well, hold their shape, and suit the way our customers dress across different seasons in Australia.

Our collections include wool outerwear, soft knitwear, breathable linen, and carefully selected seasonal fabrics. Some pieces are made from natural fibres, while others use considered blends to improve texture, structure, comfort or ease of care.

Wool

Wool is at the heart of WOOLA.

We use wool for its warmth, softness, natural texture and timeless feel. From structured coats to softer knitwear, wool allows us to create pieces that feel refined, comfortable and made to be worn season after season.

For our wool outerwear, we pay close attention to fabric weight, hand feel, drape and finishing, so each coat feels warm without looking too heavy.

Merino Wool, Cashmere & Silk

In selected knitwear pieces, we use a soft blend of merino wool, cashmere and silk to create a balance of warmth, softness and lightness.

Merino wool brings natural warmth and a fine, comfortable hand feel. Cashmere adds extra softness, while silk gives the yarn a smoother touch and a subtle refined finish.

Together, these fibres help create knitwear that feels soft against the skin, light enough for layering, and polished enough for everyday wear.

Linen

For warmer months, we choose linen for its breathable, relaxed and naturally textured feel.

Linen is easy to wear in the Australian climate and becomes softer over time. We love it for shirts, dresses and simple summer pieces that feel effortless but still put together.

Lyocell, Viscose & Selected Blends

Not every beautiful fabric needs to be purely natural.

We also use materials such as lyocell, viscose and carefully selected fibre blends when they offer the right drape, softness, texture or structure for a design.

Some blends help a garment feel lighter, smoother, easier to care for, or more suitable for a particular silhouette. For us, the most important question is always how the fabric feels, how it wears, and whether it suits the WOOLA style.

Considered, Not Overcomplicated

We are not here to chase fabric trends or make clothing that only looks good in photos.

Each material is selected with purpose — for comfort, fit, texture, colour, movement and everyday wearability.

Our goal is to create pieces that feel calm, refined and easy to reach for, whether it is a wool coat, a soft knit, a linen shirt or a lightweight seasonal piece.
