How We Choose Our Fabrics

At WOOLA, fabric is never chosen only by its name.

Before we bring a piece into the collection, we look at how the fabric feels on the body, how it moves, how it holds its shape, and whether it suits everyday dressing in Australia.

We are drawn to fabrics with softness, texture and quiet structure — materials that feel refined, but still easy to wear.

Some pieces begin with natural fibres such as wool, merino wool, cashmere, silk or linen. Others use carefully selected blends when they offer the right drape, lightness, texture or durability for a design.

For us, a good fabric should not only look beautiful in a photo. It should feel comfortable when worn, layer easily, suit real wardrobes, and remain something you want to reach for season after season.
